In March 2006, Svarog Capital Advisors put together an investment consortium and raised LBO debt to acquire 100% of Corbina from IDT Corp., a U.S. telecom holding. Additional equity injections led to the completion of a fiber-to-the-home residential broadband network covering 80% of Moscow households.
In May 2007, the investor consortium sold 51% of Corbina to Golden Telecom, the largest Russian alternative telecom operator listed on NASDAQ. Later, in April 2008, following the acquisition of Golden Telecom by Vimpelcom, Svarog Capital Advisors sold its remaining stake in Corbina.
